The Lost were Told of Their Fate I dreamed that the great judgment morning Had dawned, and the trumpet had blown; I dreamed that the nations had gathered to judgment before the white throne; From the throne came a bright, shining angel And stood by the land and the sea, And swore with his hand raised to heaven, That time was no longer to be. The rich man was there but his money Had melted and vanished away; A pauper he stood in the judgment, His debts were too heavy to pay; The moral man came to the judgment, But his self-righteous rags would not do; The men who had crucified Jesus Had passed off as moral men, too. The soul that had put off salvation– "Not tonight; I’ll get saved by and by; No time now to think of religion!" At last, he had found time to die. And oh, what a weeping and wailing, As the lost were told of their fate; They cried for the rocks and the mountains, They prayed, but their prayer was too late. Rodeheaver’s Gospel Solos and Duets, The Rode-heaver Hall-Mack Co., Winona Lake, IN, 1925 The Second Death This is the second death. –Revelation 20:14 When our parents Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, two deaths came upon them: [i] spiritual death, separation of the spirit from God, and [ii] physical death, separation of the body from the spirit, called the first death. From the first death, physical, we see that there will be a resurrection. The second death we see to be the separation of the spirit from God, forever. When Adam and Eve died spiritually, they, like all of mankind, had opportunity for redemption, that is, restoration back to fellowship with God. The second death is final. This is spiritual death, separation of the spirit from God for-ever. From the second death, spiritual, there will be no resurrection. |

And ¼ the Books were Opened And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:11-15 KJV · The Book of Life. "I was baptized and my name is on the membership roll of some church somewhere." · For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith –and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast. –Ephesians 2:5 The Book of words. "I believe it does not matter what you believe so long as you are sincere." For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned. Matthew 12:37 NIV
The book of conscience. "I never heard about God or the way of salvation, how can I be found guilty?" They show that the requirements...are written on their hearts, their conscience bearing witness. Romans 2:15 NIV
The purpose of the Great White Throne Judgment is not to determine if a person is saved. This is a judgment on the evil works of the unsaved. Men are not sent to hell because of being sinners, but because they have not accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. David Jeremiah, Escape The Coming Night, Word Publishing, Nashville, ©1997, p236

The Judgment Day for Unbelievers Just like courtrooms on earth, there will be a Judge, a jury, a prosecutor, wit-nesses, and a sentence. But there will be no defender and no appeal. · The Judge - sees that sentence is done · The jury - conscience of guilty individual The prosecutor - the Word of God · The witnesses - Angels, redeemed souls · The sentence - eternal separation from God Mandatory Sentencing There is a "pre-set" sentence, whereby the discretion of judges is set aside. No judge is needed to decide the sentence. A judge only sees to it that the "pre-set" sentence is handed out. There is no plea bargaining, no appeal, no commuting of the sentence. Question: Before God created man, did He have a "pre-set" sentence in effect? God’s pre-set sentence of death · And the Lord God commanded Adam, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat. But of the tree of the know-ledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. Genesis 2:16-17 KJV· The soul that sins, it shall die. Ezekiel 18:4Does God Send Anyone to Hell? How could a loving God, just because someone does not obey him and do what he wants, torment them forever- not allow-ing them to die, but to continue in that pain for eternity? God...has made us with free will and he has made us for a purpose. We are not accidents, we are not modified monkeys, we are not random mistakes. And if we fail to live for the purpose for which we were made, then God will have absolutely no choice but to give us what we’ve asked for, which is separation from him. ... Yes, that is Hell.
