Chapter 5 The Key to Revelation Christ coming back to make things right that had gone wrong. Among things that had gone wrong was sin causing mankind’s fall and curse of earth. His name Jesus Christ His name, unlike our names today, is not a first or given name and a last or surname. His two names are like two separate and distinct titles representing his authority. The Savior - Jesus The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said¼ you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21
As Jesus, He has authority to accomplish our salvation through His shed blood for the forgiveness of sins.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12The Messiah - Christ Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Messiah comes, there will be seven sevens¼ Daniel 9:25 NIV
As Messiah, He has authority to accomplish our redemption through His shed blood for the forgiveness of sins.
For you know that it was not with perish-able things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed¼ but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish and defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world¼ 1 Peter 1:18Savior and Messiah are one person Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11Messiah and Christ Christ [Christos] is the Greek rendering of the word Messiah. The word Messiah is similar to the word Redeemer used by Job when he said, "I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed by worms, yet in my flesh I will see God." Job 19:25 |

What is the Content of the Scroll? What Bible Scholars have said: 1. New covenant of the promised Kingdom. 2. A Testament or Will assuring believers they have an inheritance reserved for them by God. 3. The Lamb’s Book of Life. –13:8, 20:15 4. A history of the future which reveals [i] judgments of God to be poured out on the earth; [ii] Christ’s return to earth; [iii] the millennium kingdom; [iv] the new heaven and the new earth. In short, it is Christ’s title deed to forfeited planet earth. Have dominion over the earth God blessed them, and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living creature that moves on the earth." –Genesis 1:28 AKJV
Paradise Lost Of Man's first disobedience, and the fruit Of that forbidden Tree, whose mortal taste Brought death into the world, and all our woe, With loss of Eden, till one greater Man Restore us, and regain the blissful seat John Milton, Paradise Lost, Edited by Henry W. Boyn-ton, Norwood Press, Mass.,1916, p29
The totality of man’s forfeiture We also know very well, that there has been an inheritance forfeited¼ and the proper heirs have had no possession of it. Alas, the original possessor sinned, and the inheritance passed out of his hands. Seven seals are upon this scroll, indicative of the completeness of those bonds of forfeiture ¼ and those encumbrances which are upon his lost estate. Joseph A. Seiss, The Apocalypse, ©1865, Henderson & Company, Toronto, Canada, 1901, Vol 1, p272

Mankind needed A Redeemer The Old Testament gives us the story of Elimelech and Naomi from Bethlehem who in famine sojourned to Moab where their son Mahlon married Ruth, and their son Chilion married Orpah, each wife being a Moabitess. Elimelech, Mahlon and Chilion died, leaving three widows. Naomi heads back to Bethlehem with Ruth tagging along. There she picked up leftovers in the barley fields of mighty, wealthy Boaz, a relative of de-ceased Elimelech who had an inheritance of land but someone else was using it. Boaz, as a relative [kinsman], had the right to buy back [redeem] the land on demand by [i] paying the price, [ii] evicting the present tenant and [iii] taking possess-ion of it. See Old Testament Book of Ruth [i] Jesus paid the price In Him [Christ] you also who have heard the Word¼ and have believed¼ were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit¼ which is the guarantee of our inheritance¼ the down payment on our heritage¼ in anticipation of its full redemp-tion and our acquiring complete possession of it, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14 Amplified NT [ii] Jesus will evict Satan In addition to the 7 seals on the scroll in-dicating our forfeited inheritance with its "first mortgage," "second mortgage," "liens" and other encumbrances, the 7 seals are representative of judgments coming on Satan and his worldly empire of evil. The 7 seals, the 7 trumpets and the 7 vials to follow represent Christ the Messiah evicting Satan and his cohorts from this earth. [iii] Jesus will take possession Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away¼ there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He said to me, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End." Revelation 21:1, 4, 6
